K-CET and Klamath Community College are committed to your success. It is very important to attend and participate in class to achieve your learning goals. Tell your family and friends that you need their support so you can make time for your studies. You can do this. We are here for you. Show up. This is your time!
The K-CET program requires a minimum of 80% attendance in your chosen class. For online classes, this means a minimum of 8 hours a week. If you miss class or cannot meet attendance requirements during the week, contact your instructor immediately, in advance if possible. The minimum number of hours expected for each term is 105 hours (80% attendance). The Director or Assistant Director may excuse some absences. In K-CET, we aspire to 100% class attendance for maximum learning opportunities. Maintain excellent attendance to be eligible for additional opportunities offered by Klamath Community College.
By maintaining 100% attendance:
- You will make significant progress toward your learning goals and achieve your GED sooner.
- You may be eligible for certificates, scholarships, vouchers (when available), co-enrollment in KCC certificate classes, and other college or career options and opportunities.
- You will receive regular training and knowledge that will directly apply to your studies and situation.
If your attendance becomes less than 80%:
- You will be placed on program probation and given individual guidance for attendance options.
- You lose eligibility for certificates, free GED Ready® Practice Test vouchers, scholarships, and co-enrollment opportunities.
- If your attendance cannot be maintained for a period of three weeks, you will be dropped and you will have to re-register for the next enrollment cohort. If you are an online student and your attendance cannot be maintained for a period of three weeks, your Essential Education account will be deactivated, you will be dropped, and you will have to re-register for the next enrollment cohort. If you re-register within the same term, you will not have to repay the course fee; however, if your re-registration occurs into the next academic term, your course fees for the new term must be paid.
There will be no refunds given after the first week of Orientation in any enrollment period.
I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to the K-CET GED attendance agreement.
